MEET THE ARTIST
Learning from masters such as Murray Israel, Jimmy Ernst and Philip Pearlstein, I received my B.A. in Fine Art from “Brooklyn College.” In 1985 I attended “The Art Students League” in Manhattan to pursue my painting career. Later I attended “The School of Visual Arts” and began a dual career of commercial and fine art Although these two avenues of art are so very different in execution and language, they have overlapped positively to help me express myself in both worlds.
Although my subjects continue to change, my style of broad strokes and colors remain constant. In terms of fine art, I prefer working with acrylic media. Acrylic paint dries quickly and enables the paint to be layered; my current style is to create a painting not only of form and color, but of texture as well.
